Can Guineu era-serà (Can Guineu was-to be) is an intervention in the Can Guineu space in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, based on its history and its potential as a new public space. The project seeks to recover the past in order to imagine possible futures, working from four ideas: adaptability, visibility, activation and heritage.
The proposal understands heritage as a dynamic monument, capable of adapting to different uses and of generating new relationships with its surroundings. A new facade that makes the hidden visible and connects the inhabitants of Sant Sadurní with the facility. Multifunctional platforms, water and vegetation that bring life and sensory experience; and a new volume that connects with the past and the history of Can Guineu to build a new memory.
Second intervention
In 2022, the project continued with a new intervention on the site, expanding this vision of the space’s transformation and its future possibilities. This time, installed in the courtyard. A curtain of chain and a floor inspired in paper folds, origami practices aiming again to establish a conversation between the past and present.
