“Habitar el paisatge” begins with a specific action: the temporary relocation of a design studio to Gistaín, a village in the Pyrenees with fewer than 100 inhabitants.
Over several days, work is carried out using a real production protocol, tools purchased online, on-site fabrication, and collaboration with local artisans. It is a direct exploration of working and living outside urban centers using contemporary infrastructures.
The exhibition at the Madrid Design Festival is structured around a continuous folded paper piece that articulates the entire spatial journey. This surface acts as support for the graphic work of Run Design and the product design of Andreu Carulla, acting as both a guide and a record of the exhibition´s content.
A single system, called Trava, organizes the entire project: tubes, plates, and wedges. The interlocking system generates the structure and secures the elements through pressure. Assembly is carried out using only a hammer—direct and precise. The repetition of the system forms the entire museography, from content supports to the main structures. The result is a raw, reversible, and explicit ensemble, where the construction logic remains fully visible at all times.
