The Quàntica (Quantum) exhibition had one aim: to add a layer of theoretical quantum content to a series of artworks from the “Arts at CERN” in Geneva, artist-in-residence project. In this way, two exhibition experiences were combined in a single space.
The exhibition brings together two exhibition discourses: 9 quantum postulates and 10 works by artists from Arts at CERN. The design unites them, with large chalkboards around the perimeter displaying the postulates: randomness, superposition, entanglement… and in the centre, in relation to the room’s existing pillars, the works of art.
In this way, a dialogue between art and science is achieved, an inner landscape of interrelationship, a space for debate and reflection. Between the theory of the perimeter and the artistic gaze in the centre.
