Cervell(s) (Brains) is an exhibition that starts from approaching the brain in three different ways through showcases, simple systems that allow the same structure to generate different situations depending on the material available.
On the one hand, a more objective or material perspective, called MATTER, which, based on the exhibition of a wide variety of objects, instruments and documents, allows a historical approach to the study of the brain and its physical functioning mechanisms.
In this chapter, the device proposed are large display cases that function as a Cabinet of Curiosities. Its arrangement builds interior courtyards, a metaphor for the brain, that space so close and yet so inaccessible, visible from the outside but which generates questions for us. Questions that drive the journey through the entire exhibition.
The approach to consciousness in the MIND chapter is made through the crossing and superimposition of geotextile sheet planes, a non-woven fiber with a translucent organic texture. This chapter with contemporary art installations is a transit in itself, to cross and discover.
And what lies beyond the human brain? What are the paths of animal intelligence and artificial intelligence? These questions are raised at OTHER MINDS, with the tables as spaces for debate and discussion. As what is under study, in process.
